Kenneth Francis Adams, 90, of Clarion passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends on April 27, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Kenny Adams, son of Lawrence and Jane Adams, was born on January 21, 1935 in his family home in Clarion. He graduated from Clarion High School. In 1955 at the age of 20, Kenny married the love of his life, Judy McClelland. They started their life together in Eagle Grove, where Kenny worked numerous jobs simultaneously with the purpose to support his family and their dreams. They moved to the current family farm in 1964.

Kenny farmed for 65 years, up until two weeks prior to his death. It was there that he was in his element. He worked hard and played hard. Kenny and Judy were married for forty-four years enjoying many activities such as racing go-karts, camping, boating, swim parties, and traveling until Judy’s untimely death. Their love of life along with the people they cherished created countless memories with family and friends.

Kenny was a man of integrity, a dedicated husband, supportive father, loving grandfather and great-grandfather. With his infectious smile, kindness, generosity, and sense of humor, Kenny was a friend to all he met.

Kenny is survived by his children, Les (Patty) Adams of Winter Haven, Fl., Duane (Deb) Adams of Clarion, and Julie (Lonnie) Whipple of Ankeny; grandchildren, Aaron (Emily) Adams, Jaime (Nathan) Brinkman, Kasey (Ky) Dierks, Sara (Jason) Kratzer, and Nathan Whipple; great -grandchildren Elaina, Charley, Judah, Oaklan, and Theo; along with beloved nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judy Adams, and sister Betty Stemler.

The family would like to thank you for your many acts of kindness and expressions of sympathy.
