Obituary


Kenneth L. Dolphin, 75, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 1993 at the Rehoboth-Mckinley Christian Hospital, in Gallup, New Mexico.

Kenneth was born March 17, 1918 at Britt, Iowa to Walter and Ida (Marth) Dolphin.  He received his education in the Britt Community Schools.  He enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 and served in the European Theater.  Following his discharge in 1945, he returned to Britt where he and his brother, Bruce owned and operated a gas station.

On September 4, 1949 he was united in marriage to Gazena Gremer at Spencer, Iowa.  The couple made their home on a farm near Britt.  Before moving to Campbell, California they made their home in Fort Collins, Colorado, New Richland, Minnesota and Lake Mills, Iowa in 1988 he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Gazena (Jean) of Campbell, California; a son, Michael and his wife, Barbara of Temple, Texas; two daughters: Judy and her husband, Tim Boyer and Dawn Curnes both of San Jose, California; three grandchildren: Chelsea and Justin Boyer, and Amber Curnes; three step-grandchildren: Buddy Eagan, Susan Bourenane, Holly Sheets; two sisters: Velma and her husband, Gay Bird of Britt, Iowa; Hazel Belknap of Mason City, Iowa; a brother: Bruce and his wife Evelyn Dolphin of Polson, Montana; and many nieces and nephews and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers.
