Kenneth L. Kuehnast, 79, of Clarion went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Kenny was born May 17, 1927 in Thor, Iowa. He was the beloved son of Louis and Ella (Kuehn) Kuehnast. Kenny graduated from Woolstock High School in 1945. He attended Eagle Grove Jr. College. On April 17, 1949 he was united in marriage to Dona Finch. Kenny was a lifelong farmer in Wright County. He served on the Board of Directors for the Clarion Farmers Elevator for 9 years and also served on the Wright County REC/ Praire Energy Board for 11 years. For years Kenny played Santa Claus at the Woolstock Elevator, was involved with Little League Baseball and spent many hours umpiring. He was a die hard Cubs fan. Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family, socializing with his friends, golfing and was a member of the Clarmond Country Club. Kenny was the loving father of, Tamra Jordahl of Bloomington, MN, Doyle Kuehnast of Clarion, Toni (Mark) Svoboda of Cluiter, IA, Tawn (John) Steich of Des Moines, IA. He is also survived by two brothers, Galen (Eileen) Kuehnast of Escondido, CA Daryl (Betty) of Summerfield, FL; two sisters, LaVonne (Bill) Oldson of Turlock, CA, Evelyn (Mike) Qualters of Riverbank, CA; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Dona.
