Kevin D. Herzberg

Kevin Herzberg, 55, of Clarion passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion.

Funeral services for Kevin Herzberg will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Clarion Church of Christ, 420 North Main Street in Clarion, with Pastor Warren Curry officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at the church on Saturday.

Kevin Dwayne Herzberg, the son of Virgil and Betty (Nicholas) Herzberg, was born in Shenandoah, Iowa on March 27, 1962.  He graduated from Clarion High School in 1980. Following graduation, Kevin worked at North Central Cooperative in Clarion.  Kevin then moved to Jefferson City, Missouri where he started his family and worked for the city sanitation company.  In 2014, Kevin moved back to Iowa to take care of his mother.

Kevin always had to stay busy.  Recently he enjoyed fixing lawn mowers, painting old milk cans, and loved watching WWE Wrestling.  Kevin also loved to watch his nephew, Nick, play basketball and went to all of his games.

Kevin was always willing to lend a hand to anyone needing it.  You could always count on him to give you a laugh.

Kevin is survived by his children Kole Herzberg and Kaylee Herzberg of Jefferson City, Missouri; mother Betty Herzberg of Clarion; sister Brenda (Chris) Carpenter and their son, Nick of Clarion; nieces and nephews Chad Herzberg, Amy (Dustin) Schwering, and Casey Herzberg; and special great nephew and niece Christian and Brylie Herzberg; along with extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by father Virgil Herzberg, brother Gregg Herzberg, and his grandparents Oscar and Ethel Herzberg and Clyde and Dagmar Nicholas.
