Kevin E. Smith, 68, of Belmond, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at home while in hospice care.

Private family services will be held in Illinois at a later date.

Survivors include wife, Joleen; daughters Abbie (Brenna) Lust-Smith and grandson, Hollis, of Newton and Claire (Reed Lechner) of Des Moines; sister Wendy (Mike) Cunico of North Augusta, South Carolina; nieces and a nephew.
