Larry Dennis Lemmon ,79, passed away on November 17th, 2022 at Harlingen Medical Center from an unexpected heart attack. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:30 PM on March 31, 2023 at the Ewing Funeral Home, 178 Center Street West in Britt. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 4:30 PM on March 31, 2023 at Ewing Funeral Home, 178 Center Street West in Britt. Larry was born on March 31,1943 in Fort Dodge, IA to Harold Sr. and Eva (Smith) Lemmon. He graduated high school from Callender, Iowa with the Class of 1961. On December 2, 1961, Larry was united in marriage to Colleen (Targgart). The couple raised four children and later divorced. Larry farmed over the years and owned L&L Pest Control. He enjoyed gambling, handyman jobs and spending time with Violet. Larry is survived by his fiancee, Violet Jenkins of Harlingen, TX; children, Elaine (Tom) Jorgensen of Eagle Grove, IA, Wayne (Kim) Lemmon of Dansville, NY, Jodie (John) Kauffman of Eagle Grove, IA, and Nathan (Angie) Lemmon of Britt, IA; 11 Grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; brother Rodney (Kathy) Lemmon of Clear Lake, IA; sister-in-law Jean Lemmon of Fort Dodge and brother-in-law Ron Warner of Ankeny. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Rosalie, brothers Harold Jr. and Merv, his 3rd wife Judy and sister-in-law Gloria.
