Obituary
Larry R. Hansen, 79, died October 11, 2016 at his home in Belmond.
Services were held October 15, 2016 at the Belmond United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Belmond Cemetery.
Larry Raymond, son of Harold and Lillian (Larson) Hansen, was born March 5, 1937 on his grandparent’s farm near Humboldt. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School and joined the U.S. Navy.
Larry returned home after four years and was united in marriage to Vicki Musselman of Belmond on June 23, 1961. Together they had three children: Kimberly, Lon and Debra. Larry was later married to Deb Maggart of Big Falls, MN at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Larry worked in maintenance at Central Soya for 38 years before he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. His family and friends were important to him, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother Daryl; and his wives Vicki and Deborah.
Larry is survived by his children Kimberly Ausborn (special friend Jody) of Belmond, Lon (Sara) Hansen of Souderton, PA, and Debra Sorensen of Urbandale; son-in-law Chris Sorensen of Dexter; grandchildren Amanda, Eric (fiancé Sara), Rachel, Nicole, Anthony and Ashley; great-grandchild KyleeJo; sister Beverly Wise; nephew Bernard Wise; two aunts; and one uncle.
