Obituary


LeeRoy "Lee" Fedders, 42, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Lee, the son of Marinus and Wilma (Kroeze) Fedders, was born on August 19, 1952 in Orange City, Iowa.  He attended Orange City Christian Schools and graduated from Unity Christian High School in 1970.  He then attended Dordt College and later graduated from South Dakota State School of Pharmacy in 1976.

Lee was united in marriage to Charlotte Sapp on May 11, 1973 in Volga, South Dakota.  The couple first made their home in Albert Lea, Minnesota, where Lee worked at North Park.  In June of 1979, they moved to Britt where Lee worked at Walgreens for a year.  They then moved back to Britt, where Lee worked and eventually purchased Fedders Healthmart Pharmacy in January of 1990.  Most recently, Fedders Healthmart Pharmacy received "Healthmart of the Year", Kansas City Division, 1994.  For Lee, life was his hobby.  His interest were almost to numerous to mention, but included: gardening, yardwork, skiing and tennis.

Lee was a past president of the Chamber of Commerce in Britt. He was an active member of the Christian Reformed Church, where he served on the church council and as Youth Group Leader.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Char); two daughters: Jennifer and Jessica; one son, Jason, all at home; his mother, Wilma Fedders of Orange City, Iowa; three brothers: Gerald and his wife, Carol of Littleton, Colorado, Marlo and his wife, Darlene of Orange City, Iowa, Ken and his wife, DeLaine of Britt, Iowa; two sisters: Lila Rohde of Arcadia, California and LaDonna Fedders of Sioux Falls, South Dakota (which is his twin sister); father and mother-in-law, Earl and Mildred Sapp of Bruce, South Dakota; three sisters-in-law: Martha and her husband, Stan Hibma of Orange City, Iowa, Barbara and her husband, Les VanderPlaats of Orange City, Iowa and Sarah and her husband, Kevin Carter of Rapid City, South Dakota; three brothers-in-law: Charles and his wife, Ruth Sapp of Volga, South Dakota, Steve and his wife, Lori Sapp of Volga, South Dakota and Paul and his wife, Peggy Sapp of Holland, Michigan; 15 nieces, 11 nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marinus on Ocotber 15, 1994.
