Obituary
Lela "Lee" Richardson, 80, of Britt, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2003, at North Iowa Mercy Health Care Center in Mason City.
Lela, the daughter of Forest Franklin and Ruby Fern (Santee) Fett was born July 12, 1923, on a farm in the Corwith area. As a child, she attended country schools near Corwith. When she was older, she helped her parents on the farm.
On June 19, 1948, Lela was united in marriage with Jerald Richardson in Goodell, the couple made their home in Britt.
Lee loved to talk with her family and hear about her many nieces and nephews whom she enjoyed caring for. She loved gardening and raising flowers.
She was a member of the Britt VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. One of the highlights of Lela's day was attending congregate meals and visiting her many friends.
Lela is survived by three sisters: Vera Fish of Corwith, Doris Stewart and her husband, Arlo of Fort Dodge, and Bonnie Croonquist and her husband, Alan, of Moorland; two brothers: Alfred Fett of Algona and Darrell Fett and his wife, Billie, of Chandler, Arizona, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerald in 1998, five sisters and four brothers.
