Linda K. Loux, 71, of Belmond, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at
Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at
Belmond United Methodist Church, 1031 1st Street Southeast in Belmond, with
Pastor Leila Blackburn officiating. Burial will take place in Belmond Cemetery.
The funeral service will be livestreamed on the Belmond United Methodist
Church's Facebook page.
Visitation will be held 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Ewing
Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond.
Linda Kaye, daughter of David and Donna Jeanne (Johnson) Kennedy, was born on
December 20, 1951 in Belmond. Linda grew up in Belmond and graduated from
Belmond High School in 1970. She welcomed her two sons into the world, Jason
Gabriel in 1974 and Joshua Abram 1978. Linda proudly raised her boys in the
Belmond community until they followed in her footsteps graduating from the
Belmond schools, the boys stayed close and settled in town and raised their own
families nearby.
Linda went on to nursing school, graduating in 1986. She worked as a nurse at
the hospital in Belmond. Dr. Kollash encouraged Linda to go back to school to
become a physician's assistant. She worked her PA career at the Belmond
hospital, retiring in 2015. She loved caring for her patients. Linda was also an
EMT on the Belmond Ambulance, where she met her future husband, Lynn Loux. On
June 24, 2000, Linda was united in marriage to Lynn.
Linda was very active in her community. She was involved in the church choir and
served as a confirmation mentor a time or two. Her family was most important to
her. She loved their Sunday night family time together. She enjoyed baking
birthday cakes for her families' birthdays and was also known to pull a good,
fun prank. Linda was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Linda is survived by her husband Lynn Loux; son Jason (Jaclyn) Wessels and their
children Madison and Tristan; son Josh Wessels and his children Abram and Azure;
siblings Sandy Kennedy-Licon, Jim (Jane) Kennedy, April (Randy) Kemmer, and
Terri (Jim) Corsello; sister-in-law Kris Burns; and many nieces, nephews, and
extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Ramon Licon.
