Lois loved watching sports, but was a lifelong Iowa Hawkeye fan. She always looked forward to the football season and was very proud to wear the Hawkeye colors.

Lois cherished many family traditions, including Sunday brunches, Easter egg hunts for her grandkids, her famous dressing at Thanksgiving, torsk and tacos at Christmas, and canning pickles and tomato mixture with the family.

She loved to spoil her constant companion of 14 years, her cat Rufus. She rarely missed a warm summer day at the pool, or a Sunday afternoon spent with her sister Phyllis.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Kim (Bob) Ott, her son Kurt (Kelly) Gaulke, her grandchildren Jimmy (Beth) Ott, Jerri (Lance Gobeli) Ott Linn, Alex Gaulke, and Emma (CJ Middeton) Gaulke, her great-grandchildren Mason and Jordyn Linn and Carson and Boone Ott, her sister Phyllis (Louie) Lewis, her best friend Diane Rink, many nieces and nephews, and so many wonderful friends.
