Obituary


Lois Una Holm, 83, of Clarion passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion.

Funeral services for Lois Holm will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Church of Christ, 420 North Main Street, in Clarion, with Pastor Warren Curry officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.  

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Church of Christ, 420 North Main Street, in Clarion.

Lois Una, the daughter of Earl and Aurella (Jensen) Tice, was born April 30, 1927 in Clarion.  She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Clarion High School in 1945.

On October 6, 1946, Lois was untied in marriage to Gifford Holm at the home of her parents, (which is their current home).  Lois lived her entire life on the family’s Century Farm near Lake Cornelia.

As a housewife, she enjoyed cooking and entertaining guests, flowers and gardening.

Lois was a member of the Clarion Church of Christ serving as a Sunday school teacher, Cradle Roll Superintendent, deaconess, and in the Ladies Aids.  For five years, she was a leader of the Grant-Go-Getters 4-H Club.

Lois is survived by her husband Gifford; daughter Sally Meyer and husband Douglas; and grandchildren Emily and Benjamin of Fromberg, Montana.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
