Lorraine E. (Marroni) McOllough, 81, of Clarion, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Lorraine Elizabeth (Marroni) McOllough was born on March 8, 1924, to Antonio and Louise (Buccella) Marroni in Mason City, Iowa.

At the time of her birth, the family lived at #13 Lehigh Row. Lorraine was blessed with 8 sisters and 2 brothers. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1944. She was a devoted daughter, who cared for her parents until their deaths in 1959.

On November 28, 1962, she was united in marriage to Dean B. McOllough at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. Dean and Lorraine made their home on their farm 6 miles south of Clarion. She loved living on the farm and being a wife and mother to her two girls, Sandy and Cathy.

She enjoyed spending time with her girls; their favorite pastime was shopping at any mall they could find. Lorraine loved to decorate the house for all holidays and birthdays. She was also an excellent cook, her specialty being Italian food.

She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Clarion.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Dean; her two daughters, Sandra K. Humphrey and her husband Randy of Mason City, Cathy K. McOllough of Mason City; two sisters, Lucy Bilyeu and Angeline Melby; a special brother and sister-in-law Gabriel and Patricia Marroni; sister-in-laws, Verlene McOllough, and Ruth Marroni; brother-in-law, Ralph Johnson; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Louise; her twin sister Rose; sisters Jenny Graham, Nancy Capuzucci, Yolanda Nashiem, Mary Johnson, and Marie Kallas; and her brother Wuttie Marroni.
