M. Norma Beyer, 98, of Clarion, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Clarion. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Norma, the daughter of Maurice and Marie (Oulmann) Bouillon, was born September 12, 1924, in Galt, Iowa. She attended school at Lincoln #6 and graduated from Galt High School. She married Harold Beyer on September 19, 1942. Harold passed away in January 2013 after 70 years of marriage. Harold and Norma lived on a farm in Vernon Township. They farmed until 1988 and in 2009 they moved to The Meadows in Clarion. Norma enjoyed playing cards, bingo and Pokeno; reading; crocheting; baking; and traveling with family. Since she was fluent in French, one of her treasured memories was a trip to France to visit cousins and the area where her parents, older sister, and older brother were from. Norma is survived by her sons, Raymond of Georgetown, Texas, and Richard (Darlene) of Olathe, Kansas; granddaughters Lauri (Brian) Pate and Gwen (Robert) Harrison; grandsons Neil Beyer and Clayton Beyer; and great grandchildren Christopher Pate, Avery and Colton Harrison, and Henry and Nathan Beyer. Norma was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sister Marie; brothers Marcel, Emil, and Robert; and daughter-in-law Jolene Beyer.
