Marc L. Lunde, of Clarion, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his home. Private services will be held at a later date. Marc Lee, son of Leland and Lois (Mathison) Lunde, was born on January 26, 1947 in Hampton. Marc grew up in Iowa and graduated from Cedar Rapids High School. After high school, Marc enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Fort Sill in Oklahoma. On June 21, 1973, Marc was united in marriage to Rebecca Olson in Clarion. They made their home in Clarion where they raised their two children. Marc worked at the Post Office in Clarion for 35 years before retiring. Marc was a handy man and was good at working on cars. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Marc loved riding his motorcycle. He was a member of ABATE and American Legion Riders. Marc is survived by his wife Becky of Clarion; son Chris (Aimee) Lunde of Ames; daughter Lisa (Dave) Diebel of St. Petersburg, Florida; four grandchildren Connor and Brennan Lunde, Dylan Paige and Marc Diebel; two sisters Marcia Hauschild and LeeAnn Lois Lunde Lewis; special care taker Shea; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
