Obituary


Margaret Amelia Prull, 96, of Kanawha passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt. In accordance with her wishes, Margaret’s body will be cremated, and a private family graveside service will take place at a later date. Margaret, the daughter of Alfred and Jessie (Hall) Trulson was born November 3, 1915, in Britt.  She grew up in Britt and attended Britt High School. Margaret met John Prull at her brother’s wedding dance and they were united in marriage on May 9, 1935, in Mason City.  The couple made their home on a farm near Kanawha until 1979, when they moved to Kanawha. Margaret was a member of the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church.  Psalm 23 has always been very special to Margaret.  She loved flowers, cooking, and collecting owls. Margaret is survived by one son, Dean Prull and his wife, Judith, of Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren: Ronald Prull and his wife, Carrie and Rhonda Ogden and her husband, Wayne, all of Springfield, Missouri, four great-grandchildren and brother Jim and his wife Charlotte of Britt.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John (October 15, 1987), three brothers, Clarence, Earl, and Russell Trulson, and an infant sister, Betty.
