Marie Frances Minor, 89, of Clarion, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the USA Health Care Center in Clarion.

Funeral services for Marie Minor will be held on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 3:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church, in Clarion, with Pastor Gary Boen officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Visitation for Marie Minor will be held at the First Lutheran Church, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, before the services on March 18.

Marie Frances Minor daughter of Thomas and Charlotte (Johnson) Carlson was born on April 11, 1915 on a farm near Renwick. The family later moved to a farm south of Denhart.

On December 28, 1938 Marie was united in marriage to Hans Minor in Kanawha. To this union 3 sons were born.

Marie liked playing the slots, enjoyed children, and loved being with her grandchildren. Marie was a great cook, and was especially good at making pies and chicken and noodles. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Clarion.

Those left to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Marvin of Clarion, Gary and his wife Michelle of Goldfield, Howard and his wife Kathy Jo of Humboldt; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Carlson of Watertown, WI; and sister, Margaret Anderson of Kanawha.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hans; 7 brothers, Clifford, Leonard, George, Floyd, Tom, Harold, Clarence; and 1 sister, Mildred Anderson.
