Obituary
Marie Verbrugge, 85, passed away Sunday, December 22, 1996, at the Kanawha Community Home in Kanawha, Iowa.
Marie, was born May 28, 1911, the daughter of Frank and Martha (Heijnsdijk) Verbrugge, on a farm near Kanawha, Iowa. She was baptized at the Wright Christian Reformed church. She attended the area county schools. Marie worked for the Elmer Engstrom family for many years and later at the Kanawha Nursing Home.
She is survived by her sister, Pauline Crawford of Traer, Iowa; a brother John Verbrugge of Kanawha, Iowa; two sisters-in-law: Tillie Verbrugge of Kanawha, Iowa; Thelma Verbrugge of Mason City, Iowa.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Maude Abbas and four brothers: Adrian, Heis, Pete and Joe.
