Marilla L. Jackson, 81, passed away Thursday, July 29, 1993, at the Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, Iowa. Marilla, the daughter of George and Cora (Dawson) Clark, was born September 27, 1922 in Corwith, Iowa. She received her education in the Corwith Schools. She was united in marriage to Andrew Hampe at South Dakota in 1930.  They made their home in Britt, Iowa.  Andrew passed away on May 8, 1955.  In March of 1961, she was united in marriage with Andrew Jackson in Albert Lea, Minnesota.  They made their home in the Britt and Clear Lake areas.  She was in the restaurant business  for 40 years. Survivors include her husband, Andrew Jackson of Britt, Iowa; two sons, Arthur and his wife, Ida Hampe of Bode, Iowa and Melvin Hampe of Denver, Colorado; a daughter, Mary May of Clear Lake, Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Doris Hampe of Britt, Iowa; six step children: Dorothy Vance of Des Moines, Iowa, Andrew Jackson, Jr. of Goshen, Indiana, Eleanor Hogan of Le Center, Minnesota, Darlene Price of Earlham, Iowa, Arlene Evans of Westminster, Maryland, Eunice Beener of Albert Lea, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 31 step-grandchildren; and 45 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, a granddaughter, a son-in-law, a sister, a brother and a half-brother.
