Marjorie E. (Erickson) Pals

Marjorie E. Pals, 93, of Dows passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion.

Funeral services for Marjorie Pals will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the Dows Community Center, 119 East Ellsworth Street in Dows, with Pastor Laurel Meester officiating.  Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Dows.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the Dows Community Center on Saturday.

Marjorie was born September 23, 1925 on a family farm to Walter and Ila Erickson. She attended country school. On February 3, 1951, Marjorie Erickson was united in marriage to Arthur William Pals in Phenix City, Alabama. Their union was blessed with four children.

Marjorie moved to her current home in Dows in 1972. She spent the last six years at Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. She loved writing poems and spending time in Branson, Missouri.

Marjorie is survived by her four children; Patty (David) Kuper of Danville, Indiana, Douglas Pals of Fort Dodge, Betty (Gary) Peterson of Fort Dodge, Peggy (Steven) MacRunnel of Ames, her three siblings; Donna Latch of Southfield Wellness Community, Webster City, Judy Anderson of Green Valley, Arizona, and Arlyn Erickson of Hampton, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents Walter and Ila Erickson, and her three sisters.
