Marjorie Elinor (Andersen) Harrigan, 92, of Sheldon, formerly of Kanawha and
Belmond, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Cobble Creek Assisted
Living in Sheldon, Iowa.
Funeral services for Marjorie Harrigan will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020
at 1:30 P.M. at Ewing Funeral Home, 118 East 2nd Street in Kanawha with Pastor
Geoffrey White officiating. Burial will be at Holmes Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the funeral
home on Friday.
Marjorie was born on November 21, 1927 to Anton & Margaret Andersen. She was
raised on the family farm outside of Clarion, Iowa. Family was always the most
important thing in Marjorie's life and she enjoyed telling stories of growing up
with her parents and five siblings.
Marjorie's faith was also very important to her. As a child, she attended Holmes
Lutheran Church and in her adult life she strengthened her faith by attending
church and enjoyed singing in her church choir.
Marjorie found great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. She was truly happy when in
the presence of family.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Cheryl (Robert) Dennard of Florida and
Janene Cloud of California; grandchildren Russel (Lani) Turner, Christina Love,
William Turner, Cory (Libby) Myer, Cary (Bridget) Myer, Devon Myer, Steven
Cloud, Michael Cloud, David Cloud, Christopher Cloud, Scott (Julie) Acton;
great-grandchildren Lexi, Noelle, Logan, Laci, Landon, Lanie, Zach, Nadalyn,
Alayna, Maizey, Marisa, Keagen, Leia, Colten, Bodie; great-great-grandchild
Nikolas; sister-in-law Doris Andersen; along with numerous nieces and nephews,
other relatives and friends.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her children Greg Myer and Gary Myer; siblings
Norma Blilie, Alvin Andersen, Orville Andersen, Elaine Hawley, Tony Andersen;
sibling-in-laws Philip Blilie, Maurine Andersen, Janice Andersen, and Robert
Hawley.
