Mark William Campbell, 50, of Rockport, Texas and formerly of Clarion, passed
away at his home on Friday, May 13, 2022.
Per Mark's wishes, no services will be held.
Mark was born to Frank Campbell Jr. and Kay (Campbell) Peck on July 21, 1971 in
Clarion. He graduated from Clarion High School with the class of 1990. He worked
in automotive sales at Charlie Gregg Motors in Clarion for many years.
Mark spent summers at the family lake house on Eagle Lake in Minnesota while
growing up where he learned and loved to water ski. Mark enlisted in the United
States Marine Corps but was medically discharged following boot camp.
Mark married Jessica Hobart in 2000 and they made their home in Clarion until
they divorced in 2002.
Mark's health declined due to diabetes until he was unable to work. The majority
of the last 7 years, Mark and his dog, Louie, lived at the Quiet One RV Travel
Park in Rockport, Texas, where he met many yearly visitors that became like
family.
Lisa wants everyone to know that there are many kinds of addictions. She
encourages people to not be quiet or ignore these issues. Try to be loving,
supportive, and encourage those affected to get help.
Mark is survived by his sister Lisa Kluss (Dean) of Clarion; nephew Andy Kluss
(Michelle); great-nephew Kayden Dean Kluss; aunt Kandee Grieser; uncle Paul
Schultz (Deb); great-aunt Cheryl Hilgendorf; cousins Deanna Ziino (Mark), Kim
Askvig (Julaine), and Kristy Ramold (Jed); special friends Roy DuBos of
Rockport, Texas and Wayne and Nancy Edwards of Foristell, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his father Franklin Campbell Jr.; mother Kay
(Campbell) Peck; step-father Larry Peck; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Campbell Sr.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schultz; uncle Bob Campbell; and aunts Pauline
Askvig, Kelly Ellis, Vicki Paul, and Terry Swanson.
