Mark Thomas Everett, the son of Thomas and Beverly (Steinlicht) Everett, was
born September 16, 1967 in Britt, Iowa. He grew up in the Wesley area and
graduated from Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne School with the class of 1986.
Shortly after high school, Mark married the love of his life Christine Olson, at
the Britt Lutheran Church in 1987. The couple had one daughter, Brooke.
Although the family stuck around the Britt and Klemme area, Mark got to see
different parts of the country by over the road trucking. He most recently
drove truck for Five Star Cooperative.
Mark kept constantly busy with lots of different interests including biking,
snowmobiling, camping, watching NASCAR and the San Francisco 49ners (when they
were winning). He really enjoyed fishing and participated in some tournaments.
He loved his family and often showed it by the constant phone calls.
He will be remembered for genuinely caring and helping people every chance he
got. A man of his word even if sometimes it came out bluntly and a reminder
that things can change and fall into place.
Mark is survived by his wife of 34 years Christine Everett of Klemme; daughter
Brooke Everett of Mason City; mother Beverley Everett of Wesley; siblings Jeff
(Patty) Everett of Tightwad, Missouri, Rhonda (Dan) Sullivan of Forest City,
Iowa, Jean (Dan) Henry of Decorah, Iowa; nieces and nephews and mother-in-law
Marcia Olson.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Everett, niece Jocie Everett and
father-in-law Eldon Olson.
