Obituary
Marlin Dean Daniels, 77, of Belmond, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at his home.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Immaniel Reformed Church east of Belmond. Pastor David DeKuiper will officiate. Burial will take place in Immanuel Reformed Cemetery.
Visitation will be held an hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Marlin Dean was born on March 8, 1939 to Herman and Minnie (Smidt) Daniels in Iowa Falls. Marlin graduated from Belmond High School. After graduating high school, Marlin attended and graduated from Central College in Pella. Right after graduating college, Marlin joined the Air Force.
Marlin enjoyed farming and fishing. He loved going on fishing trips to Minnesota with his cousin. He had his pilot's license and loved to fly. Marlin was a rural mail carrier. He retired after delivering mail for over 20 years.
Marlin is survived by his brother Will Daniels of Zeeland, MI, uncle and aunt Raymond and Netty Daniels of Ackley, and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Minnie, nephew David Daniels, and sister-in-law Aletha Daniels.
