Martha Jean Schar, age 94, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Clarion, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2006 at the Walnut Place Nursing Home in Dallas, Texas.
Martha Jean Schar, daughter of Chester and Eula (Swender) Taylor was born January 23, 1912 in Lake City. She was a graduate of Clarion High School.
On August 26, 1933 Martha was united in marriage to James Wendell Schar.
Martha was a proud member of the United Methodist Church, P.E.O. and Eastern Star. She was happily dedicated to the Lord, her family and friends.
Surviving Martha are, her son Tom and his wife Jean of Dallas, Texas; sister, Evalyn DeLooff of Weslaco, Texas; daughter-in-law, Dixie Haney of Emerald Bay, California; Tom’s children, Craig and his wife Amy, Erika McVeigh and her husband Kevin and their daughter Meghan; Dixie’s children Emily Haney, Sarah Tufts and her husband Bill and their son Ethan.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Wendell in 1989; loving son Jim in 1973; and her twin sister Margaret Myers.
