MaryAnn Willrett, 89, of Britt, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Westview Care Center in Britt. Private family services will be held. MaryAnn, the daughter of Harold and Martha (Lemke) Heimendinger, was born August 17, 1932 in Britt, Iowa. She attended school in Britt until 1941 when the family moved to a farm near Ventura, Iowa.  MaryAnn graduated from Ventura High School in 1950.  The fall following graduation, she moved to Mason City where she was employed at the telephone office. MaryAnn was united in marriage to Frederick Willrett in 1952.  The couple made their home in Britt where MaryAnn was employed by various businesses. In her spare time MaryAnn enjoyed listening to music with Johnny Cash, Elvis and Danny O'Donnell being some of her favorites.  She enjoyed knitting and sewing and made clothes for the girls' Barbie dolls.  MaryAnn also enjoyed baking and making various German recipes, gardening and canning. MaryAnn is survived by her children DeAnn (David) Betcher, Jean (Brad) Smidt, Brian (Heidi) Willrett; grandchildren Angela (Joe) LeGrand, Joshua (Nikkole) Betcher, Timothy Smidt, Jack Willrett, Holden Willrett; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frederick, sister Arlene Sluik, brothers Gerold Heimendinger, Orville Heimendinger and Harold James Heimendinger.
