Mervin and Konnie were married on March 8, 1980 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sumner and made their home in various communities in Iowa before settling in rural Britt in 1983 and the family later moved in to Britt around 1990. Mervin was Konnie’s care giver as she battled her health challenges, up until the time of her death in 1996.
