Michael A. Halverson, 67, of Coulter, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 at his home. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Michael Alexander, son of Edward and Bernice (Yaw), was born on October 13, 1955 in Des Moines. Mike grew up and attended school in Des Moines. At 17 years old, Mike served in the Marine Corps for a few years. Mike eventually moved back to Iowa Falls and later to Coulter. He worked at Triple K Construction and Iowa Select before he started at Mort's Water in 2004. He enjoyed talking with customers while working at Mort's. In 2020, Mike retired. Mike loved to go camping and fishing. He enjoyed working on cars and collecting coins. Mike loved his grandkids and enjoyed having them around. Mike is survived by his children Patricia Reynolds (Elijah) of Coulter and Dustin (Heather) Halverson of Hampton; grandchildren Addysen, Cayden and Lynden Reynolds and Raelynn and Avery Halverson and baby on the way; siblings Diane Holmes, Connie Williams, Rose Wert, Ron McClish Sr., Cindy Keith, Jack Halverson, Matt Haus, and Wendy Blanco; and numerous other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers Wesley McClish and John McClish.
