Michael C. Robbins, 58, of Belmond, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at his home. Memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond. Private family graveside service will be held. Michael Craig was born on February 2, 1964 in Jefferson, Iowa. When Mike was five years old, he became a part of Merle and Beverly Robbins' family. Mike grew up in Belmond and graduated from Belmond High School. After high school, Mike attended NIACC for a while. He later graduated from Marshalltown Community College with his degree in machine trades tool and die. Mike worked many years in the tool and die industry. Most recently, he operated his own business for the past four years. Mike married Kathy (Templeton) Robbins and they were blessed with two children, Kellie and Jaymeson. They later divorced. Mike loved rebuilding engines and restoring old cars or anything mechanical. He restored guitars and enjoyed playing guitar. Mike's latest hobby was riding his Harley on the open road. Mike is survived by his children Kellie (Ben) Knutson and Jaymeson Robbins (Lay Moore); biological siblings Kevin, Mark, Scott, Jerry, Shannon, and Glen; aunt Donna Buseman; dear friend and partner in crime Dave Dockwell; and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Sheryl; and uncle Harold Buseman.
