Michael J. Snively, 52, formerly of Clarion, passed away in Vancouver, Washington. Celebration of life service for Michael J. Michael James Snively, the son of Dr. James and Jean (Cowell) Snively was born May 27, 1970 in Clarion, Iowa.  Michael was raised in Clarion and graduated from high school with the class of 1988. After high school, Michael attended American Airlines school in Hartford, Connecticut for a brief time before moving back to Iowa.  He then continued his education at Iowa Central Community College, Drake University and finished his business degree with the University of Minnesota.  He worked for Norwest Bank, Wells Fargo in Des Moines and St. Paul and was currently working for Computer Share.  He was able to remotely work from his home and took the opportunity to move to Vancouver, Washington where he loved the geographic of the Pacifica Northwest and moved out there in June of 2022. Michael enjoyed listening to music, trying new restaurants, traveling and animals especially dogs.  He was a people person who could make friends instantly.  He will be missed for his witty sense of humor and laugh. He is survived by his parents Dr. James and Jean Snively of Clarion; sister Lynn Nicolette of Colorado and sister Jill (Martin) Arispe of Alta; one niece and two nephews; seven great nieces and two great nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wright County Humane Society.
