Obituary
Mildred Ethel Loney, 75, passed away Thursday, February 29, 1996, at the Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa.
Mildred was born October 15, 1920, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Merle (Tressler) Foster. Mildred and her husband, Harold, farmed north of Britt until his death in 1980. She was an active member of the Nazrene Church as a Sunday School teacher, church board member, missionary society president, and youth leader. She was her husband avid fisherman, a sport she shared with her grandchildren and friends.
Mildred is survived by her son, David Loney and his wife, Dr. Jan Loney of Setuaket, New York, and their sons, Daniel Loney of Los Angeles, California, and Michael Loney of New York, New York; her daughter, Susan Lewerke and her husband, Jerry of Prescott, Arizona and their children Eric Imel of Phoenix, Arizona, Andrea Imel of Phoenix, Arizona, and Shannon Imel of Chino Valley, Arizona; six step-grandchildren; ten step great-grandchildren; her sister, Josphine Christiansen of Slater, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
