Mitchell A. Trulson, 51, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 15,
2000, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mitch, the son of Russell William and Mae (Gouge) Trulson was born September 14,
1948 in Mason City, Iowa. He grew up and attended school in Britt. Mitch
graduated from Britt High School in 1966.
Mitch was united in marriage with Mary Dolphin on December 30, 1966, at the
United Methodist Church in Britt. Mitch was employed at Winnebago Industries
from 1967 until 1972. The couple made their home in Britt and later moved to
Mason City. In 1972 they established Mary's Vac Shop doing business with the
Kriby Company. The couple retired to Olathe, Kansas in March of 1990 where they
have since resided.
Mitch was a member of Mid America Nazarene University Church in Olathe, Kansas.
While living in Iowa he was active in sharing his faith as a lay minister.
Mitch is survived by his wife Mary of Olathe, Kansas; two daughters Suzanne
Carlin of Dallas, Texas and Pamela Tull and her husband Sean of Olathe, Kansas;
three grandchildren: Jonah Carlin, Nickolas and Noah Tull; mother Mae Trulson of
Britt; three brothers and one sister: Russ Trulson and his wife, Barb of Britt,
Yolanda Redenius and her husband Gerald of Britt, Don Trulson and his wife Cindy
of Elbow Lake, Minnesota, and Tom Trulson and his wife Ginger of Britt; 12
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
