Obituary
Myrna Walk, 65, of Kanawha passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.
Myrna Lee, the daughter of John and Leta Prelip Goodridge, was born August 25, 1941 in Belmond, Iowa. She grew up in Kanawha, graduating from Kanawha High School in 1959.
On December 9, 1959 she was united in marriage with William "Bill" Walk in Mason City. The couple made their home on a farm west of Kanawha. Myrna continued to live on the farm following Bill's death in 1994; and moved into Kanawha in 2000.
Myrna enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing trips north at William's Narrows. She loved shopping, cooking, working on the farm and gardening. Myrna loved the companionship she had with her dog, Sheba.
She was a member of the Kanawha United Methodist Church and the ladies Circle at the church.
Myrna is survived by three children: Kelly Walk and his wife, Cindy of Kanawha, Shelly Shellenberg and her husband, Tom of Wesley, Bill Walk Jr. and his wife, Amy of Buffalo Center; six grandchildren: Shannon Larson, Whitney Shellenberg, Ryan Walk, Justin Walk, Bret Walk, Isaiah Walk; three step-grandchildren: Zach Penning, Jordon Penning and Janie Penning and numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill; infant brother and infant sister.
