Obituary
Myrwin Leone Dimond, 72, passed away June 17, 1992 at the Heritage Care Center in Mason City, Iowa.
Myrwin, the son of Guy and Jennie (Swanson) Dimond, was born July 1, 1919 on a farm near Britt. At an early age, he moved with his family to a farm near Wesley, where he received his education.
In 1940, he was united in marriage with Marie Stebritz. The couple farmed near Wesley. Myrwin farmed near Corwith until his retirement. For the past six years, he had been a resident of the Heritage Care Center in Mason City.
He enjoyed fishing, farming and musical instruments.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his eight children: Mary Lou Woods and her husband, Wayne of Fort Dodge; Phyllis Reding and her husband, Tom of Algona; David Dimond and his wife, Trish of Urbandale; Jack Dimond and his wife, Sue of Algona; Barbara Heinen of Ames; Kathy Erdman and her husband, Mark of Algona; JoEllen Thortsen and her husband, Mike of Warrenville, Illinois; Connie Hawkins and her husband, Neal of Des Moines; 18 grandchildren; two sisters: June Keil and her husband, Maurice and Carolyn Dawson, all of Britt.
