Obituary


Naaman Willie Seefelf, 84, passed away Friday, April 10, 1998, at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, Iowa.

Naaman, the son of John A. and Laura (Capp) Seefeld, was born August 11, 1913, near Burt, Iowa.  He attended country school in the Wesley area.  On February 29, 1936, he was united in marriage with Esther Crone at the United Brethren Parsonage in Goodell, Iowa.  The couple farmed south of Woden.  Esther passed away on August 20, 1972.  Naaman continued to farm until 1978 when he retired and moved to Britt.  He then moved to Woden in 1988 and to the Prairie View Apartments at Garner in 1994.  Naaman was a member of the Woden Christian Reformed Church.  He was very active in the lives of his children, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Naaman is survived by his children: Sharon Hayward and her husband, Jerald of Avon, South Dakota; Marilyn Coon and her husband, Dallas of Renwick, Iowa; Roger Seefeld and his wife, Phyllis of Wesley, Iowa; Carol Dolphin and her husband, Dean of Garner, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister Margaret Seefeld of Britt, Iowa; and one brother Leander Seefeld of Algona, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and three sisters.
