Nadine Rapp, 90, of Clarion passed away April 22, 2014, at Iowa Specialty
Hospital of Clarion.
Funeral services for Nadine Rapp will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 28,
2014, at the Clarion Church of Christ, 420 North Main Street, in Clarion with
Pastor Warren Curry officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in
Clarion.
Visitation will be held hour prior to services at the church.
Nadine Louise, the daughter of Rolla E. and Marie (Hilpipre) Lindsey was born on
March 23, 1924, in rural Wright County near Woolstock, where she attended rural
schools.
On August 31, 1941, she married Francis Rapp at the Clarion Church of Christ
parsonage. Francis and Nadine moved to a farm south of Clarion where they lived
for 31 years. She was very active on the farm and assisted Francis with all
jobs, including driving the tractor. In 1975, they retired and moved into town.
She has been an active member of Clarion Church of Christ since 1948. She
enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends and neighbors.
Nadine is survived by her nephew, Dennis (Virginia "Tootie") Loux of Clear Lake;
niece, Diane (Willard) Netland of Klemme; nieces and nephews, Valerie (John)
Burtness, Vonnie (Scott) Amosson, Dino (Dawn) Loux all of Clear Lake, Jeanne
(Jerry Hanson) Helling of Dubuque, Jodi (Ron) Claydon and Tammy (Kris) Burckhard
of Mesa, Arizona and 17 great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; brother, Everett
Lindsey Jr. and sister, Shirley Marie Loux.
