Nancy Ganseveld

Nancy Ganseveld, 81, the daughter of Klaas and Fannie (Abbas) Ganseveld, was born in Britt, Hancock County, Iowa, on February 18, 1917.  As a child she and her family lived in the rural areas of Britt, Hutchins, Crystal Lake, Dumont, and Nora Springs.  As a youngster she attended the rural country schools.  She lived most her adult life in the family home with her sister in Britt, Iowa.  Due to failing health, she entered the Kanawha Community Home on May 8, 1998, where she passed into eternal life on Monday, may 18, 1998.

Nancy helped on the family farm while growing up.  She continued to enjoy working outside in the large garden and flowerbeds she and her sister had until recent years.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with family members.  She especially enjoyed the family gatherings.  She also enjoyed playing cards and putting jigsaw puzzles together.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers, Bill, George, Dan, Pete, Staffer, Nick, John, Fred, and Klaus; five sisters, Anna, Grace, Minnie, her twin sister Fannie, and an infant sister.

Left to mourn her passing is her sister Jennie, with whom she lived, and many many nieces and nephews and friends.
