Obituary
Nellie Anderson, 83, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 1991 at the Clarion Community Hospital in Clarion, Iowa.
Nellie, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Ryerkerk) VanDusseldorp was born February 24, 1908 at Prairie City, Iowa. As a small child she moved to Kanawha where she received her education.
On April 14, 1925 she was united in marriage with Edward C. Anderson at Eagle Grove. The couple made their home on farms in the Kanawha, Britt and Renwick areas. In 1970 they retired and moved to Kanawha.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kanawha and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Edward C. Anderson of Kanawha, Iowa; one daughter, Arlene Engh and her husband, Willis of Kanawha, Iowa; four sons: Marvin Anderson and his wife, Norma of Hardy, Iowa; Gerald Anderson and his wife, Anne of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Donald Anderson and his wife, Roxie of LeMars, Iowa; one sister, Evelyn Nelson of Kanawha, Iowa; three sisters-in-law: Lena VanDusseldorp of Thornton, Iowa; Alma Anderson of Renwick, Iowa; Rozelle Anderson of Mason City, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter; five sisters; four brothers; one stepbrother and three stepsisters.
