Our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend, Nora Inez Peters gained her angel wings on January 23, 2021. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 29, 2019 Nora was placed in the loving arms of her adoptive parents John and Kelly (Thompson) Peters.

Our sweet, beautiful, perfect Nora Inez. Daddy’s little princess, Momma’s brown-eyed girl, Emma’s perfect, patient little sister and a gift to the world. Although we knew your time here on Earth would be limited, nothing could prepare us for this moment. Our intense heartache is a reflection of the depth of our love for you. But as we grieve, we also rejoice as we envision you free of pain and at peace in the arms of our Lord. Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Nora accomplished so much in her fourteen months; most importantly she became a teacher…to her Care Team, her family, her Lissencephaly family, and the countless friends and loved ones who have supported us. Nora has taught us all about unconditional love, strength, acceptance, joy and most importantly, faith. Nora’s journey is far from over. We will take all she has taught us and share her voice to continue to make this world a more loving, faithful, accepting place. In Latin Nora means Honor and in Greek Nora means Light. It is our Honor to have been chosen to be your parents and we will continue to share your Light.

Nora is survived by her Parents John & Kelly (Thompson) Peters; her sister, Emma Peters of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Grandparents David & Holly Thompson, of Kanawha, Iowa; Uncle and Aunt Brent and Renee Thompson; Cousins Landon Thompson, Molly Thompson, Brayden Thompson, of Kanawha, Iowa; Grandmother Lea Ette Peters, of Brownton, Minnesota; and Uncle James Peters of Mankato, Minnesota.

Nora is proceeded in death by her Grandfather Dale Peters.
