Nora Johnson, 88, passed away Friday, July 11, 1997, at her home.
Nora was born on August 21, 1908, on a farm near Kanawha, the daughter of Nels
and Elfreda (Nerem) Williamson.
She was united in marriage on July 14, 1928, to Alfred Johnson. The couple made
their home with his mother for five years, moved a half mile form the home place
where they farmed for 42 years. They then moved to a farm north of East Twin
Lake for ten years. In 1981, they moved into Kanawha.
Nora was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School
and was a member of many committees.
Survivors include her daughter, Ileene Robinson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a son,
Jerry Johnson and his wife, Veronica of Kanawha, Iowa; twelve grandchildren;
thirty-four great grandchildren; two sisters, Ardell Blendow of Sun Prairie,
Wisonsin; Verna Mowatt of Kanawha, Iowa; Arnold Williamson of Marshalltown,
Iowa; and Erling Williamson of Tacoma, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred in 1993, two great
grandchildren, Ryan Johnson and Krystal Hunter, five sisters and two brothers.
