Odette "Peggy" Stevenson, age 98, of Kanawha, Iowa, died October 28, 2020 at the Kanawha Community Home from a short illness. At Peggy's request, there will be no service with a private burial on November 4, 2020. Peggy was born on January 18, 1922, the daughter of Harlie and Nellie Muhm. She graduated from Kanawha High School and also attended Britt Junior College. She was united in marriage to Wilbur P. Stevenson on August 7, l941. She was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Morgan for 38 years. Peggy was a member of the Britt Methodist Church, UMW Miriam Circle, American Legion Auxiliary of Kanawha, member of Gold Star Wives, and life member of the American Dental Assist Association. She spent many hours on needlework projects before she developed macular degeneration. She also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She is survived by her son, Jock (Deanna) Stevenson, daughter in law, Joyce Stevenson, granddaughters Renae, Heather and Holly, four great-grandchildren and one sister Penny (Stan) Stevens of Arizona. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wilbur and her son Paul R. Stevenson. Memorials may be directed to the Britt Methodist Church and the Kanawha Community Home. Her family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the Kanawha Community Home for the great care they gave to Peggy.
