Olga B. Lodin, 90, passed away Friday, December 24, 1993, at the Westview Care
Center in Britt, Iowa.
Olga Burnette Jacobson was born on a farm northeast of Thompson, Iowa on August
20, 1903 to Knute and Helena (Helgeson) Jacobson. She was baptized and
confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Vinge, Iowa.
On March 27, 1929, she was united in marriage to Austin Lodin at Northwood,
Iowa. They farmed 31 years in the vicinity of Thompson, Iowa where she was an
active member of the Round Prairie Church. In 1980 she and her husband moved to
Kanawha, Iowa.
She was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting,
gardening and flowers.
Mrs. Lodin is survived by two sons: Arnold and his wife, Gladys of Kanawha, Iowa
and their children Tim and Dennis, and Lawrence and his wife, Judy of Thompson,
Iowa and their son, Kerby and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin in 1981, one son, David in
1965, a granddaughter, her parents, four sisters and five brothers.
