Pat J. Brouwer, 67, of Britt, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at
Hancock County Health Systems in Britt.
Celebration of Life Services for Pat Brouwer will be held on Monday, December
27, 2021 at 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West in Britt
with Pastor Judy Junkermeier officiating.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 5:00 –7:00 PM at Ewing
Funeral Chapel.
Pat Jean (Sexton) Brouwer, the daughter of Wilbur and Kathryn (Dunmire) Sexton,
was born March 9, 1954 in Algona, Iowa. Pat grew up in the Titonka area and
graduated from the Titonka High School with the class of 1972.
She continued her education at North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City
and obtained her degree in nursing. Her first nursing job was at the Buffalo
Center Hospital. She worked various places in the medical field before ending
her career at Hancock County Health Systems. After retiring from nursing, Pat
delivered motorhomes and was an over the road truck driver.
Being on the road, Pat loved to travel, enjoying all states but loved Florida
and the beach the most. When she wasn't digging her toes in the sand, Pat
enjoyed being around her family and her dogs. Pat was a straight forward kind
of woman who had so much love for her husband, children, grandchildren,
siblings, and friends.
She is survived by her husband Keith Brouwer of Britt; daughter Angie King of
Britt her two children Taylor and Austin (Katie McDonald), daughter Jennifer
(Brian) Hoese of Niles, Michigan; three bonus daughters: Jamie Dickinson of
Story City and her two children Aurora and Phoenix, Kelley (Nick) Mosiman of
Mason City and their two children Robert and Oliver, and Hannah Brouwer (Dylan
Humberg) of Clear Lake; sister Ann (Bob) Buffington of Forest City; brother
Larry Sexton (Kim Brood) of Britt along with numerous nieces, nephews and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
