Obituary
Paula Ann (Binnebose) Johnson, 53, of Belmond, went home to heaven on March 8, 2009.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10:30 am at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Belmond, with Rev. Jim Harbaugh and Rev. James Gochenouer officiating. Burial will be at a later date at St. Olaf Cemetery in Belmond.
Paula was born on February 10, 1956 to Neil and Betty (Jorgenson) Binnebose in Marshall, Minnesota. The family moved to Mason City where Paula graduated from high school in 1973.
After graduation, Paula met and fell in love with Dallas Johnson. Dallas and Paula were married at St. James Lutheran Church in Mason City on October 15, 1977. Afterwards, the couple resided on the family farm outside of Belmond for many years.
Their unending love produced three children, Elizabeth, Kyle, and Seth. As a testament to her strength, Paula accomplished her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse while raising her three children. Paula was a dedicated and compassionate nurse at the Belmond Health Care Center. She placed her patients first and was always willing to help others.
Paula enjoyed spending time with her family the most. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, making crafts, and most of all talking to others. Her camera was never far away, as she loved capturing memories over the years.
Paula always had a cheerful personality and could be counted on to provide support to anyone who needed it. She focused her life around helping others and her impact is evident in the countless lives she touched.
Paula’s legacy of selflessness and caring for others leaves many people with a lifetime full of memories. Left to cherish her life is her grateful family and community. Paula’s family includes her devoted husband Dallas, loving children Elizabeth, Kyle (Lisa), and Seth; father Neil, sister Karen (Ron) Bull, and brothers Craig (Janelle) and Mark; and other countless family members, friends, and coworkers.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Binnebose, and her father and mother-in-law, Harris and Minnie Johnson.
