Obituary


Pauline Freeseman, 81, of Hampton, formerly of Britt passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services for Pauline Freeseman will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012, at 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church, 70 5th Avenue NW, in Britt with Pastor Geoffrey White officiating.  Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2012, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West, in Britt and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pauline, the daughter of Herb and Ona (Prelip) Nessa was born June 7, 1931 in Forest City, Iowa.  She grew up and received her education in Forest City. She was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City.

Pauline was united in marriage with Rudy Freeseman on February 14, 1955.  The couple lived on a farm and raised their daughters in the Britt area.

She loved sewing, gardening, reading and homemaking.

Pauline is survived by three daughters: Julie Pralle of Hampton, Rosalie Davis of Altoona, Patty Freeseman of Hampton; twelve grandchildren: Andrea (Pralle) Hickman, Sara (Pralle) Schlichting, Adam Pralle, Jason Davis, Danielle (Davis) Richardson, Betsy Davis, Mary Kemnitzer, Anastasia Kemnitzer, Michaela Kemnitzer, Andy Reid, Bryan Reid, Hannah (Reid) Hanson; sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers: Tom Nessa, Bob Nessa; three sisters: Sally Sweers, Mary Lillington, Gloria Hooper, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herb and Ona Nessa and husband Rudy.
