Phillip O. Zadow

Phillip Zadow, 61, of Britt passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 in Britt.

Funeral services for Phil Zadow will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 11:00 AM at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West in Britt with Pastor Larry Day officiating.  Interment will be at 2:30 PM Cemetery in Early, Iowa.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Ewing Funeral Chapel on Wednesday.

Phil Zadow was born on January 10, 1953 to Otto and Enid (Dublinske) Zadow in Sac City, Iowa.  Phil graduated with 1953 class of Crestland High School in Early, Iowa. He relocated and became a Britt citizen in 1984.  Phil was a lifetime semi-truck driver.

Phil hobbies include golfing, fishing, and watching old western movies.  He enjoyed spending time talking and shooting the breeze in the morning with the farmers over coffee.  His daughters, Sirena and Nancy, will always remember his famous omelets.

Phil is survived by his daughters Sirena Zadow and special friend Alex Rankin from Council Bluffs and Nancy Zadow and special friend Mark Ewoldt from Dow City; grandchildren Justin Zadow, Alenah Rankin, Cyann Rankin, Jordon Stief, and Evan Ewoldt; sisters Marie (Paul) Kerns of Sloan and Pam (Joe) Awe of Corwith; brothers Martin Zadow of Britt and Mitch Zadow of Britt; along with nieces, nephews, and friends.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Enid Zadow and sister Patsy Howard.
