Obituary


Phyllis D. Seefeld, 61, of Wesley, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City.

Phyllis, the daughter of Miltion and Wilma (Johnson) Stites, was born July 6, 1942, in Mason City.  Following graduation from Britt High School, Phyllis served one year with the United States Navy.

On July 16, 1977, Phyllis was united in marriage with Roger Seefeld at the Woden Christian Reformed Church near Woden.  The couple made their home on a farm near Wesley.

Phyllis had been employed by the Titonka and Britt Care Centers.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and attending their many activities.  She also enjoyed reading in her spare time.

Phyllis was a member of the Woden Christian Reformed Church, the Ladies Aid Society and enjoyed participating in the various activities at her church.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Roger of Wesley; three daughters: Christine McNeese and her husband, Greg of Britt, Elizabeth DeWall of Spencer and Ranae Seefeld of Humboldt; six grandchildren: Amber, Nicolas, and Hannah McNeese, Brittney and Tylor Sarchet and Jonathan DeWall; two sisters: Cora Batton of Britt and Peggy Gatton and her husband, Terry, Sr. of Sibley; one brother Ronald Stites of Grand Rapids, Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
