Regina M. (Marx) Holck, 75, of Belmond passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at
Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Regina (Jean), daughter of Aloysius Marx and Helen Farrell, was born in
Philadelphia, PA on December 15, 1943.
Jean was married to Michael (Mickey) Zuzulock on February 3, 1962. Michael
passed away in November 1985. From this marriage, two children were born, Karen
and Alan. In November 1999, a marriage between Lee Holck and Jean was performed
at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Their marriage was later blessed by the
Catholic Church in New Jersey in 2001.
Jean was devoted to her children and granddaughters and husband Lee. They had
many good times having BBQ's along with birthday parties in their backyard in
New Jersey. Jean loved shopping, reading, and sending greeting cards to family
and friends.
In 2008, Jean was diagnosed with breast cancer, followed by surgery, chemo, and
radiation treatments. In 2018, Jean's cancer returned as metastatic cancer in
her spine and bones, with no cure.
Jean is survived by her husband Lee; daughter Karen (Chris) Calandera; son Alan
(Barbara) Zuzulock; granddaughters Kayla and Alexis Tomasello; step-grandson
Joey Geirno; sister Margaret Reiss and family; sister-in-law Jill (Dave) Kent
and family; special cousin Richard (Betsy) Shisler; and cousin Jerry Colapinto.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Michael Zuzulock, infant son
Michael; brothers-in-law Marvin Smith, Bill Reiss, and Richard Holck; and
sister-in-law Diane Smith.
