Rev. Theodore Henderson

Rev. Theodore (Ted) Henderson, 70, of 515 5th Avenue S.E. Britt, Iowa died Tuesday, October 26, 1999 at home of a heart condition.

Ted was born on October 18, 1929 in Livermore, Iowa the son of Theodore and Ruth (Kuebler) Henderson.  He attended school in the LuVerne, Humboldt, and Fort Dodge areas.  He served in the Army/Air Force and began his career doing farm work after discharge from the military.  He worked at Maytag from 1950 to 1958 he answered God's calling to pastor.  Ted pastored Nazarene churches in Clarion, Climbing Hill, Britt and Knoxville, Iowa.  He retired from the active ministry in 1994 and continued pastoral supply work in the Britt area.

On July 7, 1948 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Munson at Boone, Iowa.  To this marrriage was born one son, Dennis and one daughter, Brenda.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children Dennis Henderson and his wife, Marcia of Clive, Brenda Boomgarden and her husband, Mike of Britt, Iowa; grandchildren: Amanda Henderson of West Des Moines, Jason Boomgarden and his wife, Amy of Britt, Alissa Henderson of Ankeny, and Misty Boomgarden of Britt; one brother: Jerry Henderson of Ogden and two sisters: Janet Olson of Ogden and Dora Jean Pfaffenbach of Rochester, Minnesota.

Ted preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
