Richard Howieson, 89, of Clarion passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services for Richard Howieson will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holmes Baptist Church, 2137 Hancock Avenue in Holmes. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services at the church on Saturday. Richard was born on August 23rd, 1936 to Stanley and Pearl (Hiams) Howieson in Clarion. He was united in marriage to Marilyn (Tendall) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belmond on March 17th, 1957. To this union three children were born: Diane, David, and Loel. He accepted Christ as his personal Saviour at a young age and was a member of Holmes Baptist Church. He was a farmer in the area for many years. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, and granddaughter. He is survived by his sons David (Lois) and Loel, son-in-law John Ambrosia, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
